The house was built in 1949, steam heat. The basement is not heated, but the exposed steam pipes and boiler room in the middle do a great job of keeping it warm and dry. They are about 6 1/2 feet above the floor, so I'm good at 6'3" tall except for a couple of places. The existing drop ceiling is at 7 feet 5 inches.
